The Issue: The Churches, The Budget and The Long Poll

ABC logo

ABC Sunday Nights with John Cleary on day one of Australia’s Federal Election campaign.

Only five days after the Federal Budget we are at the beginning of one of the longest election campaigns in Australian history.

Just so we don’t get too far ahead of ourselves first up tonight we are going to be looking at the Federal Budget, particularly as it affects those agencies linked to church and welfare services.

We are joined by representatives of the Anglican, Catholic and Uniting Churches, to assess the impact of the budget on their service delivery and on the people they serve.

Listen to the podcast.
